Metal to Plastic
There are many reasons why you would consider converting your metal part into a plastic part. Plastic will not rust, it can withstand temperatures up to +600F, it is lighter than metal and it does have some flexibility if that feature is desired. Thermo Plastic can also be impregnated with various lubricants to enhance the wear and friction.
Thermoplastics are now a viable option when manufactured parts are needed. When metal is needed it is possible that thermoplastics can be a competitive option.
